    General .ini tweaks and FPS Configs

    [ FPS Uncap ]

    1. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GamersFirst\APB Reloaded\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini"

    2. Open it up and search for [Engine.GameEngine] set smooth framerate to false, and then pick your min and max framerates.

    3. Now scroll down to [Engine.Client] set your mindesiredframerate to something high, save both those.

    4. Now go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GamersFirst\APB Reloaded\APBGame\Config\APBEngine.ini"

    5. Do the same steps as in 2 and 3, save it.

    From now on you'll want to launch from the direct .exe to stop the launcher from over writing your changes.

    [ Small Crosshair [broken as of 1.9] ]

    This is an edit majority of players use.

    1. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GamersFirst\APB Reloaded\APBGame\Config\APBGame.ini"

    2. Scroll all the way down to the bottom, you'll see m_faccuracyradiusscale=1.0 change to 0.1 or 0.2, your choice.

    Same as FPS cap unlock, always launch from the direct .exe

    [ Karyl's FPS Config ]

    All credit goes to him for making these i'm just reposting them here.

    1. http://karyl.de/apb/karylultralow.rar - For Low end computers

    2. http://karyl.de/apb/karylpub.rar - A high fps config, with shadows

    [ Mouse Acceleration Removal[working as of 1.9?]]

    1. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GamersFirst\APB Reloaded\Engine\Config\BaseInput.ini"

    2. Look for [Engine.PlayerInput], Change both those scales to 0.000, and set smoothing to false.

    3. Now look for these lines, and replace them with these

    Bindings=(Name="MouseX",Command="Count bXAxis | Axis aMouseX Speed=2.0")
    Bindings=(Name="MouseY",Command="Count bYAxis | Axis aMouseY Speed=2.0")

    Bindings=(Name="LookUp",Command="Axis aLookUp Speed=+25.0 AbsoluteAxis=0")
    Bindings=(Name="LookDown",Command="Axis aLookUp Speed=-25.0 AbsoluteAxis=0")

    4. Now go grab your mouse sens from your char file located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\GamersFirst\APB Reloaded\APBGame\Config\Account"

    5. Navigate to to your char's folder and then locate UserOptions, then look for [Engine.PlayerInput] take those numbers and divide by 2.

    [ RTW Shaders [possible flag] ]

    Since this is a longer process is being updated weekly here is the main thread about it.

    http://forums.gamersfirst.com/topic/...ation-project/

    Use at your own risk.

    [ Always Sprint ]

    1. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GamersFirst\APB Reloaded\APBGame\Config\APBInput.ini"

    2. Search for Sprinting and replace with line with this.

    Bindings=(Name="Sprint",Command="InputstopSprintin g | OnRelease InputSprinting")

    In the simpliest words, what does the mouse acceleration thing do? Will it make it easier for me to move around and aim?

    I want to find a way to change my camera view, g1 just screwed up the view too.

    For the FPS unlock. I edit defaultengine.ini and don't use what you have and it seems to work? Is it different?

    [Engine.GameEngine]

    bSmoothFrameRate=FALSE
    MaxSmoothedFrameRate=120

    Game Booster

    Game Booster is an easy-to-use program that shuts down unnecessary system processes in order to improve the performance of resource-thirsty games. (basically just shuts off all the stupid shit in windows that you probably don't even use anyway with 1 button click when you're gaming / turns it back on with 1 click when you're done) More info in link if you want it.

    For me it improves system performance by like 42%.

    Leatrix Latency Fix

    Some kind of Jedi wizard magic that makes your computer send more packets per burst than it is supposed to or some shit. Usually cuts your latency in half for most games.

    http://www.wowinterface.com/download...1-2.0.2.0.html

    I've been using this and game booster for years with no problems.

    ^ Neither of those two helped me when I applied them
    gfx engine of apb just horribly optimized, even with tweaks it doesnt stay over 60 for long times... and if the latency thing was supposed to do anything, I definitely didn't see a change in my number. it is my understanding that latency is governed by conn speed and how your packets are routed to their servers... not much can change that.

    Leatrix is more for MMOs I didn't know if it would help or not for this. In WoW it dropped my lat from like 55 -->24. It can't hurt though so

    It works on MMOs other than WoW as well, just not this one apparently.

    [ Always Sprint ]

    1. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GamersFirst\APB Reloaded\APBGame\Config\APBInput.ini"

    2. Search for Sprinting and replace with line with this.

    Bindings=(Name="Sprint",Command="InputstopSprintin g | OnRelease InputSprinting")

    For some reason i'm dumb or the forums put a space above after the g on the line InputstopSpriting. make sure no space.
    Save and run from APB.exe

    This might help people who have a blistered pinky and can always sprint. So basically what it does is switch the shift or sprint binding. When you hold shift you run normal and when it's not pressed you always sprint.
    What do you guys think? Useful?

    lol i was actually looking for this... but my pinkie is so strong from 8 hour marathons of holding shift that this isn't even necessary anymore.

    inorite. I don't think I'm ever not holding shift anymore. Don't even notice I'm doing it. Go to play other games and it screws me over. Cool ini edit though might try it tomorrow. Will probably take a lot of getting used to (or maybe not because you don't really ever not sprint anymore). Might have to break my pinky or take my shift key out

    UPDATE: Always sprinting is pretty awesomesauce
